Head Golf Professional Tony Rubes is a Class A member of the PGA of Canada and comes to Duntroon Highlands Golf Club with a wealth of experience from a number of top golf courses in Southern Ontario. After completing his degree in Professional Golf Management, Tony went to work at Oakdale Golf and Country Club where he spent three years as an Assistant Professional. While there, he completed his Level IV Teaching and Coaching requirements and attended the Summit in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
In 2004 Tony, his wife, Brenda, and their one year old son, Jasan moved to Craigleith where his family has had a cottage since the late '50's. He joined the team at Barrie Country Club as an Assistant Professional and Director of the Junior golf program. During his second year he was approached by OslerBrook Golf and Country Club to be their Associate Professional. Being that much closer to home and family the opportunity was too good to pass up. Tony spent the next seven years at the club teaching, running tournaments and leagues and managing the golf staff.
In November of 2013, Duntroon Highlands Golf Club asked him to become their first ever full-time Head Professional. For information on individual, group lessons and clinics for adults and juniors please drop by the Club or call Tony in the Pro Shop.
Class A, PGA of Canada
Associate Golf Professional Andrew Warrington is a Class A member of the PGA of Canada. Andrew came to Duntroon Highlands Golf in 2015 having spent the last 8 years at top golf courses in the Georgian Bay area. Andrew completed his education at Georgian College Professional golf management program in 2008.
Andrew resides with his daughter Ava, in Rob Roy Ontario, only minutes from Duntroon Highlands Golf Club. Having been a “local”his entire life, Andrew has spent time at local clubs such as The Mad River Golf Club and The Golf Club at Lora Bay. It was at The Mad River Golf Club that Andrew discovered his passion for teaching golf, and decided to further his education in teaching by learning new concepts /methods such as vector putting. In years 2011-13’ Andrew was among only a few Hank Haney Golf certified instructors in the country.
In April of 2015, Andrew was hired as the Assistant golf professional for Duntroon Highlands Golf Club.
Andrew will be working alongside Head Professional Tony Rubes, assisting with tournaments, groups, lessons, juniors, social media, web design, and managing the other golf staff.

Chef Jim Hockley
Duntroon Highland’s would like to welcome our new Executive Chef Jim Hockley. Born and raised in Collingwood, Jim has worked at many local restaurants before studying Culinary Arts at Canadore College in North Bay. After College, Jim acquired his Red Seal certification from the Canadian Culinary Federation of Chefs and Cooks in 1999. Jim has worked at some of the local ski resorts around the area, and was the Executive Chef at Chaudiere Lodge Fishing Resort on the French River for 3 seasons. Jim has also owned a successful restaurant in Barrie, and came back home to Collingwood and started his own catering company. He was recently the Sous Chef at Cranberry Golf Resort in Collingwood. We know that Jim is very excited to take the lead role in the Food & Beverage department here at Duntroon Highlands. Jim has brought some new twists to some old classics on our menu, and will also be offering Catering Year Round for your convenience.
